The World of Outlaws have competed a total of 15 times at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway dating back to 2000. Leading up to the inaugural Outlaws World Finals, each of those 15 events will be recounted, culminating with the opening night of inaugural Outlaws World Finals on November 1 at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Today will focus on the third of those 15 events, which was contested on October 5, 2000.
Donny Schatz, the reigning World of Outlaws champion and current point leader, led all 30 laps en route to picking up the preliminary feature win, after winning the Crane Cams Dash to earn the pole position.
Steve Kinser was second, with Paul McMahan fourth, Joey Saldana seventh and Saldana’s current car owner Kasey Kahne in ninth.
Current World of Outlaws drivers that also competed in the event included: Danny Lasoski, Tim Shaffer, Jac Haudenschild, Craig Dollansky, Daryn Pittman, Jason Meyers and Randy Hannagan.
A total of 47 car competed in the event at the state-of-the-art 0.4-mile facility.
The inaugural Outlaws World Finals featuring the World of Outlaws and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series is set for November 1-3, with the finale of the event to be broadcast LIVE on SPEED on November 3 from 8-11 p. m. Eastern.
