Cody Darrah of Red Lion was just 16 years old when he started wheeling 410 sprint cars around local dirt tracks. Darrah, who turns 20 on Aug. 21, has come a long way in four years and is now one of the top drivers in the area.
The biggest payday of his career thus far came on Saturday when he picked up $15,000 by winning the Dream Race Extreme III at Port Royal Speedway.
He’s confident and he’s comfortable in the Steve Suchy prepared sprinter and it shows. The win was his fifth this season and 10th of his sprint car career.
Port Royal’s a tough place to win, but Darrah has two wins at the intimidating Juniata County track.
“I love this place,” Darrah said.
