Former NCRA Sprint Car Champ with New Ride in 07



Former series champion C. J. Johnson will have a new ride this year in the O Reilly NCRA Sprint Car Series, presented by ICM/Ethanol.

The 2000 champion is part of a new sprint car team owned by attorney Shane Bangerter. A former sprint car driver, Bangerter is a partner with Rabein Bangerter PA. The Dodge City, Kan., law firm sponsors the racecar.

“We hope to have the car together in time for the April 14 opener and plan to run the full schedule, ” Bangerter said.

Johnson, from Quinter, Kan., finished 13th in the 2006 standings but competed in only eight shows. That broke a string of seven straight years in which he had finished in the top 10 in points.
