Another great night of dirt track action was enjoyed by dirt and asphalt fans as “Two for One Saturday” featured the I-70 Sprint Cars on the dirt, along with the Late Models, Super Trucks, Enduros and Super Stocks on the asphalt.
Fifteen Sprint Cars check in and fans were treated to three great Heat Races, an exciting Pole Dash and an awesome Twenty Lap “A” Feature.
Transferring from their Heat Races to the Pole Dash was; 96c Jim Cameron, 49 Zack Goulden, 1k Kim Kennedy, 82 Michael Brown, 6 Kenny Potter and 88 Chad Tye.
With several yellows early on, the feature event finally settled in to some of the best Sprint Car action a race fan could ask for. Kim Kennedy in his number 1K Sprinter led the pack across the finish line. Following Kim was the 6 of Kenny Potter, 49 Zack Golden, 24 Allen Billings, 44w Mike White, 13 Jim Gochenour, 12 Ryan Rector, 96c Jim Cameron, 88 Chad Tye, 43 Frank Brown, 82 Michael Brown, 21 Tony Amoroso and the 2 of Russ Braun. The number 9 of Zack Clark and the 44 of Phil Heavelow were unable to make the call for the feature.
If you missed tonight’s action or you simply want more, you will only have to wait until next weekend. Friday May 25th is “Five Dollar Friday”, featuring the IMCA Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods and Sport Compacts. Then, Saturday May 26th, “Two for One Saturday”, the I-70 Dirt Track will feature the SMRS Midgets along with the Midwest Outlaw Lighting Sprints. And, if that is not enough, Sunday May 27th, the I-70 Sprint Cars will return and share the show with the SMRS Midgets and the Midwest Outlaw Lighting Sprints. Three big nights of Dirt Track actions with two nights of pure, ground pounding Open Wheel racing.
