The Findlay, Ohio driver was hired to drive the Dawn and Charlie Sorokach owned No. 35 sprinter for the series and he quickly produced, giving the team two wins during the week and a fifth place ranking in the final Speedweek point series.
Kemenah’s second win came in the series finale Sunday night at Selinsgrove Speedway, where he took the lead on Lap 23 and never looked back.
“The only one that slipped away from me was Williams Grove,” said the former All Star and World of Outlaws regular. “I was really hoping to get one there. But I’m not gonna complain. Two wins out here in the toughest part of the country. I’m starting to like Pennsylvania. We’ll take the two wins and head back to Ohio.”
Kemenah, who set quick time during time trials with a lap of 17.470 seconds, started fourth in the 30-lap Jan Opperman Memorial and settled in behind front row starter Brian Leppo during the early laps. Carlisle Sentinel
“Brian got away there at the start,” Kemenah said of Leppo. “We started to catch him and then the No. 6 car got around me and I thought I better wake up and quit roaming around on the racetrack.”
Kemenah finally caught and passed Leppo with seven laps to go and was headed down the backchute on the final lap seemingly on his way to the checkered flag when he narrowly averted disaster as Connecticut’s Dave Gravel flipped on the backstretch just in front of him.
“He started flipping there and the guy in front of me kind of locked the brakes up a little bit,” Kemenah said of the mishap.

Kemenah found speed late as he passed Lewis back on lap 18 and then Leppo for the lead in turn one on lap 22. A David Gravel flip on the last lap bunched the field, but Kemenah drove away from Lewis.
Speedweek Champion Greg Hodnett came from 14th to finish third. Doug Esh and Leppo completed the top five with Mark Smith, Todd Shaffer, Daryn Pittman, Gary Brazier and Mike Erdley in the top 10. The Patriot-News
