It’s something that happens to every young racer during their career.
Jake Kruger, the 13-year-old Bastrop resident, was running in Saturday’s Lonestar Legacys series race at Thunder Hill Raceway (Kyle, TX) when he got involved in a spin with another car. Most folks saw both cars involved in the spin; series officials saw it differently.
Thus, the Bastrop Middle School eighth-grader was sent to the back by himself – despite objections from fans and other racers. The incident took place with about six laps to go in the 30-lap feature. Kruger ran hard and took home and eighth-place finish.
