Jason Johnson made some inroads on the ASCS / Wesmar Challenge with a sweep of this past weekend’s O’Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour action at Texarkana’s Sixty-Seven Speedway and Little Rock’s I-30 Speedway.
With the weekend sweep, “The Ragin’ Cajun” overtook Wayne Johnson for the crucial second position in the National Challenge points.
Also, Florida’s Kenny Adams broke out to the early lead in ASCS Southern Tour challenge points with a win versus the ASCS Mid-Atlantic Region at Virginia Motor Speedway.
The top two drivers in ASCS / Wesmar Challenge points for the National Tour and each of the eleven winged Regions at the September 15 cutoff date will earn invitations to the October 13 ASCS / Wesmar Challenge at the Devil’s Bowl Speedway Winter Nationals in Mesquite, TX.
