Mike Balzano and E1 Racing opened the 2007 Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS) season this past weekend at Skyline Speedway, Portsmouth Raceway Park, and Central Pennsylvania Speedway.
On night one of the three-race weekend started off with an 11th place finish at Skyline Speedway in Stewart, OH. After a night of struggling Mike and crew would make the 2-hour trip over to Portsmouth Raceway Park where Balzano would develop an intense vibration in his Polino Contractors/Eddie’s Auto Parts/Hoosier Racing Tires/Cornett Racing Engines Rocket Chassis Monte Carlo and finish a dismal 16th.
Sunday was a different story for Mike as he was able to qualify 12th quick, win his heat, and finish an impressive fourth in the $5,000 to win, 50-lap A-Main at Dan Russell’s Central PA Speedway. Balzano now sits fifth in MACS points.
This upcoming weekend Mike will be in action at Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, MD for the 50-lap, $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series sanctioned ‘26th Annual Conococheague 50’.
