Mike Balzano and the E1 Racing team’s 2007 season came to an end this past weekend at the World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
Mike also competed in the 27th Annual Dirt Track World Championship (DTWC) at KC Raceway in Chillicothe, OH. Balzano did not qualify for the DTWC through the qualifying events but won the 30-lap Jim Dunn Memorial non-qualifiers race and accepted the invitation to tag the field for the 100-lap main event. Mike held on for a 19th place finish.
This past weekend Balzano traveled south to The Dirt Track at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, NC for the World of Oulaws World Finals. Mike, who is typically very good at the North Carolina oval was just a tick off all weekend and unfortunately was unable to qualify for either of the weekends $10,000 to win main events. “We were just off all weekend, ” stated a disappointed Balzano, “The track was the best it has ever been we just missed the setup. ”
