The Foundation provides financial assistance to those individuals (or their immediate families) injured or killed while participating in dirt track racing. When additional funds are available, the Foundation will contribute to organizations dedicated to improving the safety of the sport.

Two-time defending series champion Garry Lee Maier was ninth in this year’s opener and is currently sixth in points. He won at Dodge City in the series’ only visit there last year.
