Quotes from Paul McMahan, driver of the No. 20 TSR/Bass Pro Shops/Eagle:
You have participated in the MRMF Golf Tourney for several years. Are you looking forward to spending some time off the track as well as on it?
“When we race in Sedalia, we know that we’re going to have a chance to take a day and help raise money for a great charity, the Michael Ross Memorial Foundation. It’s an event that my son, Brayden, and I have participated in for several years. We both like to golf. Brayden’s pretty good and it’s cool to get to spend some time with him.
My wife, Jan, will take our daughter, Kylie, out for the day, so it’s a good day to spend some family time with everyone. I also enjoy racing at the Missouri State Fair Speedway. It’s a big, wide track that usually gives us a chance to put on a good show for the fans. We’ve won on a half-mile this year and I think we’re going to have a good shot at putting the Bass Pro Shops car in the winner’s circle on Wednesday.”
You had two solid runs at Dodge City Raceway Park in 2006. Are you looking forward to returning to the facility with the WoO Sprint Series this year?
“Last year’s NST event was a good one for us. We were able to put down a good effort both nights. I think that this year’s event will be pretty similar for us. We’ve been able to build some momentum in the past few weeks and I think we could capitalize on it again this weekend. We’d like to get another mark in the win column sooner rather than later, and Dodge City would be a great place to do so. ”
