Donny Schatz and the No. 15 Armor All/ParkerStore/J&J team concluded a busy weekend of World of Outlaws action by winning the feature event at Canadaigua (N.Y.) Speedway.

Kraig Kinser and the No. 20 Bass Pro Shops/J.D. Byrider/Maxim scored their eighth top-10 finish of the season with a seventh place finish at Canadaigua (N.Y.) Speedway.

After capturing his sixth WoO triumph of the 2009 season, Schatz expanded his lead in the WoO Sprint Series standings to a 53-point margin. Kinser’s consistency has positioned him firmly in ninth place.

TSR’s WoO Sprint Series teams will return to action on Friday night at Attica (Ohio) Raceway Park and then compete on Saturday, May 30 at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Mich.

Donny Schatz, driver of the No. 15 Armor All/Chevy/ParkerStore/J&J for TSR:

“It always feels good winning the last race of a weekend. We felt like we gave one away at Charlotte on Friday night and the best way to redeem ourselves was winning in New York on Monday night.

“Last week was one of the busier weeks we had with three nights of racing starting in Charlotte and ending in New York, but it started before that. We were in Indianapolis doing some test drives at a local Chevy dealership and then had other sponsor activities throughout the week in Charlotte. It’s fun to have all of those activities going on but, in the end, you want to succeed on the track.

“The Armor All guys (Rick Warner, Shane Bowers and Eric Prutzman) gave me a good racecar all weekend. Friday night, we worked our way into the pole position for the A-main. The track became really difficult to pass on and I knew I had to keep pushing. When I got caught trying to pass a lapped car and got passed for the lead, I still felt like we had a chance at the win. We got one more shot at it but couldn’t get back in front. It was definitely disappointing not to come out of there with a win.

“The key was not letting Friday’s outcome affect the rest of the weekend. When we couldn’t make a run to the front on Saturday night at Virginia Motor Speedway, I’d say it was even more disappointing. That left us with Monday night’s race to get back to feeling positive.
