24-Car Starting Field For 30-lap Feature at Selinsgrove Speedway

The 29th annual Jack Gunn Memorial for sprint cars is Saturday at 7 at Selinsgrove Speedway.

This is the fourth consecutive year for the challenge between the United Racing Company and the track’s 358 sprint car division. No URC driver has won the event.

Time trials, heats, C- and B-mains will be the format for setting the 24-car starting field for the 30-lap feature. The late models and pro stocks are also on the card.

Lynn Paxton, Steve Kinser and Doug Wolfgang are among the winners of the event. Past winners of the URC/358 challenge include T.J. Stutts, Chad Layton, defending race and two-time winner Blane Heimbach, and 2007 winner Dave Calaman.

AWESOME: Jeff Rine of Danville collected his 50th career late model win last Saturday night at Selinsgrove Speedway. Rine scored his first win in 1996 and is third on the all-time win list, 10 wins shy of second-place Richie Jensen.
