The World of Outlaws have competed a total of 15 times at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway dating back to 2000. For 15 consecutive days leading up to the inaugural Outlaws World Finals, each of those 15 events will be recounted, culminating with the opening night of inaugural Outlaws World Finals on November 1 at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Today will focus on the 15th of those 15 events that was contested on May 25, 2007.
Donny Schatz battled Paul McMahan for the majority of the 30-lap A-Feature, taking the lead on the 27th lap to earn the $10,000 victory.
Tony Bruce Jr. one of the contenders for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award in 2007, earned a career-best third-place finish in the event.
Danny Lasoski was fourth, with Steve Kinser fifth, Jac Haudenschild seventh, Chad Kemenah eighth, Terry McCarl ninth and Daryn Pittman 10th.
All 21 of the current full-time World of Outlaws drivers competed in the A-Feature event.
McMahan was the fastest of the 26 cars that took a lap in time trials.
The inaugural Outlaws World Finals featuring the World of Outlaws and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series are set for November 1-3, with the finale of the event set to be broadcast LIVE on SPEED on November 3 from 8-11 p. m. Eastern.
