Jones will compete in the Allstate Texas Lightning 100 at Thunder Hill Raceway.
Thunder Hill Raceway is a 3/8-mile, D-shaped, semi-banked paved oval.
The event will feature the USAC National Midget Car Series. Feature event will be 100 laps.
Grandstand gates will open at 3:30 p. m. CDT on April 7; qualifying is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p. m.
There is an autograph session scheduled for April 7 at 6:30 p. m. on the frontstretch.
The event marks the second time the series has competed at the facility in more than 30 years; Dave Steele won the 40-lap preliminary feature at the facility on Oct. 14, 2006. The 2006 event finale was canceled due to inclement weather.
Jones qualified seventh for last years event; he was credited with a 17th-place finish after mechanical issues sidelined him early in the feature.
