Strong Showing By The Locals: A number of Skagit Speedway regulars ran very strong in the opener of the two-day event at the track on September 4. Nick Engberg won a heat race for the first time in his career with the World of Outlaws over Kraig Kinser to earn a spot in the Crane Cams Dash for the first time in his career. In the 30-lap A-Feature, Travis Rutz finished seventh, with Jason Solwold who won at Skagit last season with the World of Outlaws in ninth. Seven drivers that compete on a weekly basis at Skagit Speedway raced their way into the A-Feature in the event.
A Career-best Finish: Australian Robbie Farr finished sixth last Friday night at Skagit Speedway to earn the best finish of his career with the World of Outlaws. It was his first Top-10 finish with the World of Outlaws in his ninth career A-Feature start. He won seven times earlier this season Down Under and will wrap-up the Gold Rush Tour with the World of Outlaws at Silver Dollar Speedway for the Gold Cup Race of Champions.
