World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship Standings


After earning two Top-Five finishes this past weekend in Wisconsin, two-time Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion Donny Schatz continues to lead the series championship standings. He is the only driver that has finished in the Top-10 in all 39 A-Feature events this season through August 2.

Jason Meyers used a second and a third-place finish over the weekend to cut into Schatz’s lead and now trails by 131 markers. The native of Clovis, California has 35 Top-10 finishes this season. He has finished in the Top-Five in 12 consecutive events as he chases his first Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series title. He also has picked up six A-Feature wins this season.

Craig Dollansky finished fourth at Wilmot Speedway on Friday night and fourth on Saturday night at Charter Raceway Park to remain third in the standings. The native of Elk River, Minnesota has 34 Top-10 finishes this season, and has won seven times.

Joey Saldana finished fifth and seventh in the two events that comprised the Badger Classic and remains fourth in points. The second generation driver has racked up 31 Top-10 finishes this season.

Steve Kinser used his fifth A-Feature win of the season to gain ground on Saldana who is fourth in points. The 20-time series champion remains fifth in points on the strength of 27 Top-10 finishes.

Jac Haudenschild picked up two more Top-10 finishes over the weekend as he continues to close in on his first win of the season. The veteran driver has 29 Top-10 finishes and is a very solid sixth in points.

Kerry Madsen used a third-place finish at Charter Raceway Park on Saturday to move back into the seventh spot in points. He and Chad Kemenah have traded the spot a couple of times over the last week. The reigning Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year has 25 Top-10 finishes on the season, as he too closes in on his first A-Feature win.

Kemenah led a number of laps at Wilmot Speedway on Friday night and finished sixth to earn his 23 Top-10 finish of the year. He is just 19 points behind Madsen as they continue to battle for the seventh spot in the standings.

Daryn Pittman remains ninth in points, after winning on Friday night at Wilmot Speedway and finishing eighth at Charter Raceway Park. He has 19 Top-10 finishes on the season. The native of Owasso, Oklahoma has won three times in 2008.

Terry McCarl used a sixth-place finish at Charter Raceway Park to move into the 10th spot in points. The native of Altoona, Iowa has 14 Top-10 finishes on the season.

Jason Sides used two Top-10 finishes over the weekend to move up a spot to 13th in points. The 2003 Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year has four consecutive Top-10 finishes and now has nine on the season.
