The Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will celebrate Labor Day at Grays Harbor Raceway Park in Elma, Washington on Monday, September 1.
The series first competed at the high-banked 3/8-mile in 1996 and nine drivers have picked up wins in the 11 A-Feature events that have been contested at the track, with nine total drivers having scored wins including preliminary features at the track over the last 12 seasons. There has been a different winner in each of the last seven A-Feature contests at the track, with Shane Stewart picking up the most recent victory last season. Other current World of Outlaws drivers that have won at Grays Harbor Raceway include 20-time series champion Steve Kinser, who has won two A-Feature events, two-time defending series champion Donny Schatz and Jason Meyers, who is currently second in the series championship standings.
Schatz won at Grays Harbor Raceway for the first time 2005 and has 15 Top-10 finishes in 19 career starts at the high-banked 3/8-mile. He remains the only driver that has finished in the Top-10 in each and every A-Feature event this season heading into the four-event Labor Day weekend. He leads the World of Outlaws with 12 A-Feature wins as well, as he chases his third consecutive series title.
Jason Meyers, who is chasing his first career Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws title won twice at Grays Harbor in 2003 and has 10 career Top-10 finishes at the track, including nine in a row. The California native currently leads the World of Outlaws in Top-Five finishes with 37 and is second in points.
Craig Dollansky led the first 39 laps at Grays Harbor last season before running out of fuel on the last lap. In his career at the track, he has seven Top-10 finishes. He is currently third in wins this season with the World of Outlaws, having taken the checkered flag seven times and is also third in points.
Joey Saldana, who drives for NASCAR star Kasey Kahne, finished second last season at Grays Harbor and has seven Top-10 finishes in his career at the track. He has won twice this season on 3/8-mile including most recently at Billings Motorsports Park in Montana last week. The veteran driver who hails from Brownsburg, Indiana is currently fourth in points.
Steve Kinser, the 20-time World of Outlaws champion has four wins at Grays Harbor Raceway and 17 Top-Five finishes in 22 career starts at the track. His most recent win at Grays Harbor was in 2005. He has 11 consecutive finishes of eighth or better at the track. The native of Bloomington, Indiana has won six times this season, including on a 3/8-mile in the World of Outlaws debut at Dacotah Speedway a couple of weeks ago.
Jac Haudenschild has eight career Top-10 finishes at Grays Harbor, with six of those being Top-Five performances. The veteran from Wooster, Ohio recently won his first A-Feature event of the season at Castrol Raceway in Canada. He is sixth in points on the strength of 34 Top-10 finishes, as he continues his first season behind the wheel for the Carnahan Motorsports team.
Chad Kemenah, the series top rookie in 2006 made his debut at Grays Harbor last season. The four time All Star Circuit of Champions title winner is currently seventh in points as he closes in on his first win of the season. He earned a season-best runner-up finish at Castrol Raceway last weekend. The native of Findlay, Ohio has 27 Top-10 finishes this season, with 10 of those being Top-Fives.
Kerry Madsen, the reigning Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year, has made three starts in his career at Grays Harbor Raceway Park. The native of St. Mary’s, NSW, Australia picked up two more Top-10 finishes last weekend in Canada to bring his season total to 29 as he closes in on his first win of the season. He is just five points behind Kemenah in the standings as the pair battles for the seventh spot.
Daryn Pittman has seven career Top-10 finishes at Grays Harbor. He has won four times this season, including the $50,000 Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway. He won on a 3/8-mile track earlier this month at Wilmot Speedway in Wisconsin. The native of Owasso, Oklahoma is solidly in the Top-10 in the series standings on the strength of 23 Top-10 finishes.
Terry McCarl won at Grays Harbor Raceway Park in his debut at the track in 2005. He has three Top-Five finishes in four starts at the track. He picked up two Top-10 finishes in Canada last weekend to bring his season total to 19, as he chases his first win of the season.
Shane Stewart won with the World of Outlaws at Grays Harbor last season, leading the final lap to pick up his second career win with the series. He has three wins in his career at the track, with all three coming last season. He has won once this season with the World of Outlaws at the famed Knoxville Raceway in Iowa and is just outside of the Top-10 in points.
Sam Hafertepe Jr., who is in his sophomore season with the World of Outlaws, made his debut at Grays Harbor Raceway last season. The native of Sunnyvale, Texas is just outside of the Top-10 in the season standings on the strength of 13 Top-10 finishes. He has made three career starts in the state of Washington entering action this weekend.
Jason Sides, the series top rookie in 2003, has eight Top-10 finishes at Grays Harbor Raceway Park in his career as he chases his first win in the state of Washington. The native of Bartlett, Tennessee has 12 Top-10 finishes this season.
Kraig Kinser, the 2004 Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year has finished sixth or better in three of his four career starts at Grays Harbor Raceway. He recently picked up a season-best third-place finish at Nodak Speedway in North Dakota, as he continues his first season behind the wheel for Tony Stewart Racing.
Tony Bruce Jr. visited Grays Harbor Raceway for the first time in his career last season during his rookie season with the World of Outlaws. He won earlier this season on a 3/8-mile track in the series debut at 34 Raceway in Iowa.
Chad Hillier is the lone full-time World of Outlaws driver that hails from the state of Washington has 14 Top-10 finishes in his career at Grays Harbor Raceway. The sophomore driver has five Top-10 finishes this season.
Lucas Wolfe, who is in his first full season on the road with the World of Outlaws, will make his debut at Grays Harbor Raceway Park as the Gold Rush Tour continues for the World of Outlaws.
Paul McMahan has eight Top-10 finishes at Grays Harbor Raceway Park in his career. The veteran driver has nine Top-10 finishes this season as he continues to chase his first win of the season behind the wheel of the Parsons Motorsports machine.
