WHAT
• The World of Outlaws return to action this weekend with a pair of races. After a trip east from Phoenix, the series thunders into Houston Raceway Park after a one year absence, as well as to Pike County (Miss. ) also after a one year hiatus. Donny Schatz leads the way, after his second win of the season on March 3 at Manzanita Speedway. The reigning series champion is also the current championship point leader. In the first seven events of the season, he has earned six Top-Five finishes. Right on his heals is Joey Saldana who has one win on the campaign along with six Top-10 finishes, only 24 points of out the top spot. Terry McCarl is third in points, with Brooke Tatnell and Daryn Pittman rounding out the Top-Five. Schatz won the last time the series competed at Houston Raceway Park in 2005. At that time, the track was a 4/10-mile oval, and has since been reconfigured to a “big†¼-mile. The last time the Outlaws raced at Pike County in 2005, 20-time Champion Steve Kinser was the victor.
