POCONO, PA . . .. “We were pretty well pleased with the eighth place finish we had in the Pocono 200 ARCA RE/MAX Series race this past weekend, ” said young Dominick Casola as talked about the great effort put forth by the Win-Tron Racing prepared A. Casola Farms Dodge team. “If the race had been a little longer we just might have had that top five finish that we feel we are capable of getting. In fact we feel we are capable of winning. ”

Casola was able to put together a 55.220 seconds circuit of the huge two and one-half-mile tri-oval for a speed of 162.984 mph. That was fast enough to put them 13th in the starting field of 38 star studded racers.

An early race handling problem, dropping the sophomore ARCA talent to 15th in the field, was corrected with an early pit stop. The Win-Tron Racing crew was able to get the A. Casola Farms Dodge in and out of the pits quickly and that had a lot to do with the strong finish.

After the final pit stop of the race Casola was back to 12th but he was able to charge his way back to 8th before the checkered flag fell. For the Holmdel, NJ racer it was his second top ten finish in as many races. He finished 10th in a recent ARCA event at Kentucky Speedway.

“Being able to do so well has me anxious to return to Pocono. We had a great car with a great crew. It was a top five car, ” said Casola. “The competition was really tough. We are going up against some heavily funded teams, some with Sprint Cup teams footing the bill, so when you take all that into consideration an eighth place finish is impressive.

“With that said I really think that when we return to Pocono in August we will have a real strong game plan based on some of the things we learned this time. We will be shooting for something in the top five and a win would not be out of our reach. ”

Casola also had an eighth place finish at Pocono in 2007. He would like to break the cycle of eighth place finishes and move on up in the finishing order, a win would be just perfect.

The former USAR Hooters Pro Cup racer is seeking sponsorship support for the balance of the 2008 season and beyond.

“We have a great program to offer a sponsor at a very reasonable cost, ” said Casola. “We could put a marketing package together to test the waters for some events in 2008 and then move into a full program in 2009. Being involved with an ARCA RE/MAX effort such as what we have is perfect for a cost conscious company looking for exceptional marketing opportunities. ”
