Patrick Sheltra Gears-Up For Cayuga ARCA RE/MAX 250 Patricksheltra

HAGERSVILLE, ONTARIO - - After finishing sixth in the last ARCA RE/MAX Series (ARS) outing at Michigan International Speedway two weeks ago, sophomore ARCA driver Patrick Sheltra and his Whitesville, Kentucky based team leave the Country and head to Cayuga Motor Speedway for the running of Sunday’s Cayuga ARCA RE/MAX 250.

In his last short track appearance at Toledo Speedway last month, Sheltra stormed to a career best second leaving the team returning to a short track ready to seal the deal and collect a win in the 10th event on the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series tour.

Not only would a win be huge boost for Sheltra in his second season of ARCA competition, it would be a great way to welcome Sheltra Motorsports primary marketing partner for Sunday’s event, Groupe Beton Brunet.

“I’m excited about going to Cayuga Motor Speedway this weekend, simply because it’s a lot of unknowns,” said Sheltra. “I think our team will step up to this new challenge and excel and bring home the win on Sunday.”

Groupe (pronounced Group) Beton (pronounced Be-Ton) Brunet (pronounced Brew-Nay) has more than 75 years experience in the underground/infrastructure industry throughout Eastern Canada.  Groupe Beton Brunet.  grown substantially in adding (7) new acquisitions and various product lines. Groupe Beton Brunet has expanded their markets to include the United States with a plant located in Florida.

The Indiantown, Florida native added, “We’re thrilled about our new partnership with Groupe Beton Brunet for this weekend. They are a successful corporation here in Canada and we want to make them look good in their Country.”

Additionally, U.S. Construction Supply Corp. and CP Concrete Products of the Palm Beaches will serve as associate marketing partners for Sheltra’s inaugural Canadian asphalt debut.

Sheltra Motorsports for the third time this season has elected to bring chassis number 4156 to Cayuga Motor Speedway this weekend. This automobile was acquired from Richard Childress Racing in 2007 and made its debut in the season finale at Toledo Speedway last year which yielded a top-10 finish. Last month the team brought the same piece back to Toledo and succeeded with a runner-up finish. Another top-10 finish was delivered in the third race of the season at Iowa Speedway. Now the team hopes chassis number 4156 brings a victory in one of the toughest battles of the season.

“This car has been produced excellent results for our team,” offered Sheltra. “Each time we’ve run this car we’ve finished in the top-10. We’re looking to keep the momentum and steak going Sunday. The team is pumped right now and we honestly feel that we are the car to beat this weekend.”
