• Terry Labonte (1984 and ‘96) and Bobby Labonte (2000) are the only brothers to win championships in NASCAR’s top series.
• Lee Petty (1954, ‘58 and ‘59) and Richard Petty were the first father-and-son champions.
• Dale Jarrett (1999) became the second son of a former champion to also win the championship. Ned Jarrett’s championships came in 1961 and ‘65.
