Dave Blaney’s Thoughts on Bristol…
“It should be an interesting weekend at Bristol. With the pavement everyone is kind of wondering what the track will be like. I’ve heard a lot of really good things about the job they did, and I think everyone is looking forward to getting there. It’s been a really short week and our Cat Racing team has worked really hard. A lot of the Cat team went straight from Michigan to test and the guys back at the shop had to work really hard to get us ready for Bristol. There certainly hasn’t been any time off for anyone so it will be nice to hopefully have a Sunday off to recuperate a bit.
“Being back in the top 35 will help us out a lot this weekend. It takes some of the pressure off Friday and will allow is to work on our race setup a lot more than if we had to spend Friday concentrating on just making the show. The qualifying times are so close at this place that you can easily miss this race by a thousandth, so we’re glad to be back in the top 35. We’ve had some really good runs here lately and if we can keep that going and stay out of trouble, then we should be able to stay there. Bristol is tough; you never know what’s coming, so our main objective will just be to survive. ”
