David Ragan on racing at Kansas Speedway:
“We had a little bit of a rough weekend in Dover so we are hoping to redeem ourselves this weekend in Kansas. I don’t have a lot of experience at the track. I ran the No. 6 Craftsman truck for Roush there last year and finished sixth, but there is quite a bit of difference between the truck and a Cup car so I have a feeling that it is going to take some getting used to. I think we have been improving on our mile and a half tracks and with Charlotte and Atlanta coming up in the next month we really need to be at the top of our game going to tracks of that size. The rookie race is pretty close right now. We are with in a good finishes of catching Montoya so we are really going to be focusing on getting some successful finishes throughout these final eight races. ”
Crew Chief Jimmy Fennig on racing at Kansas Speedway:
“We are taking a car to Kansas that Biffle has run in the past and we have rebuilt. It will be the first time that it has run this year so hopefully we’ve got something to them this weekend. One of our main goals as a team this year is to finish out the year in the top-20 in points. We are sitting 21st right now and we are less than a 80 points out of the top-20 so it is definitely an achievable goal, we just have to stay focused. We can not afford mistakes right now with the season winding down and David running for the Rookie of the Year. ”
