Biffle on racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway:
“Obviously, Homestead is one of my favorite tracks on the circuit. I don’t know how many drivers have won four in a row at a track, but I know it’s going to be fun to try to get it done. We’re taking the car we won with at Kansas, and if we could get one more win for the season, that would be a great way to head into Daytona. Winning at Homestead is pretty cool because you’re the most recent race winner from the end of November until the beginning of February. It’s just a great way to end a season; even a less than successful one like we’ve had this year. I feel like we’re coming together as a team, and the second place finish at Phoenix last weekend was a big boost. ”
Crew Chief Greg Erwin on racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway:
“We’re taking the car that we won with at Phoenix and sat on the pole with at Atlanta. We’re working hard with the engineering department to see what more we can learn about our performances at these mile and a half racetracks. We’ve got the notes from Greg’s 2006 Homestead setup that we’re going to look at, and likely use, but we’ve also learned a lot from what worked at Kansas and what didn’t work at Atlanta. We’ll have the same tire compound at Homestead as we did at Atlanta, and we struggled a little there, so we have to take what we learned from that and not go in the same direction at Homestead. The car is likely to be tight, so we’ll need to work on making sure it turns through the corners as the track temperature changes throughout the race. Biffle has three in a row at Homestead, and believe me when I tell you that we are going to do everything we can to make it four in a row. ”
