A steady drizzle with brief downpours at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway postponed Nextel Cup practice on Friday for the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard.
The teams were scheduled to have two separate one-hour practices in preparation for today’s qualifying session. NASCAR rescheduled practice to run from 7:30-10 a.m. today with qualifying at 3:05 p.m. RICHARD DURRETT / The Dallas Morning News
Because of the rain, track conditions for practice and qualifying will be completely different in this impound race.
“It’s the same for everybody and I think the biggest thing is the way we ran at Chicago. The package is pretty good,” said Tony Stewart, 2005 Allstate 400 at the Brickyard winner. Lori Wood, Tribune-Star
