Kyle Busch, Driver Of The No. 5 Kellogg’s/carquest Impala SS: (On The Keys To Phoenix. ) “I’m looking forward to Phoenix. I tend to run really well there, but I’ve had some bad luck, too. To do well at Phoenix, you have to have your car turning well in all four turns. If you can get the car to turn, it will have better drive off the corners. “

Busch: (On The Chase For The Nextel Cup. ) “I really, really want to get up to third place. Clint Bowyer is going to be tough in Phoenix because he was strong in New Hampshire, but he is the only thing in our way. We’re 158 points behind him, so hopefully we can close that gap and come out in Homestead in third. It would obviously be the best finish in the points of my career and I want to end this year on a good note. “

SHOOTING FOR THIRD: Kyle Busch is now aiming for a third-place finish in the Chase for the NEXTEL Cup. With its fourth-place effort at Texas Motor Speedway, the No. 5 Kellogg’s/CARQUEST team moved up two positions in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series standings, from sixth to fourth. Busch is 158 points behind third-place driver Clint Bowyer with two races left in the Chase.

PAST WINNER AT PHOENIX: In five career NEXTEL Cup starts at Phoenix International Raceway, Busch has earned one win, one pole position, one top-five finish and three top-10s. On Nov. 13, 2005, Busch, then a Cup rookie, won his second career NEXTEL Cup race by leading 63 laps en route to the checkered flag at Phoenix.

‘464’ BACK IN THE GAME: Crew chief Alan Gustafson has selected Hendrick Motorsports Chassis No. 464 as the primary Impala SS for this weekend’s NEXTEL Cup race at Phoenix. The car ran its first-ever race at New Hampshire International Speedway in September, when Busch led 21 laps and finished fourth.

WHO’S COUNTING?: Jimmie Johnson’s win at Texas Motor Speedway was car owner Rick Hendrick’s 17th trip to victory lane this year. With two races to go in the 2007 NEXTEL Cup season, all four of Hendrick’s NEXTEL Cup drivers have won at least one race while compiling 55 top-five finishes and 79 top-10s.

TRUCK RACING: In addition to racing in the NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series, Busch will also race in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for Billy Ballew Motorsports this weekend at Phoenix.

ENTER THE BULLRING: Following Saturday night’s Busch Series race, Busch will fly to his hometown of Las Vegas to compete in the season finale Fall Classic super late model feature at the Las Vegas Bullring. Busch is the owner and driver of the No. 51 late model team. For more information visit www.lvms.com.
