Mark Kennerly, rear tire changer for the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops/Tracker Boats team has been named the 2007 Pit Performer of the Year.
“Once again, Mark had a great year for us,” said Walt Smith, pit crew coordinator for Dale Earnhardt Inc. “He was consistently one of our fastest performers, getting off of pit wall and to the right side of the car in a average time of .64 seconds. Mark rarely made mistakes on pit road, which enabled our rear tire changer to do his job with the utmost efficiency.
“The reason for Mark’s success is his work ethic. He is one of the hardest workers we have among our crew members - both in the gym and at practice.”
