A spokesman for Kahne said he was rushing to his motorhome in a secure lot following Friday’s final practice when he was stopped by the guard, who refused to let Kahne through without a credential. Kahne attempted to walk around the guard and, according to the spokesman, the two bumped. When Kahne turned around, the guard was on the ground. Courant.com
“It was all a misunderstanding, ” Kasey Kahne said Saturday after practicing for Sunday’s season-ending Ford 400 Nextel Cup race.
The incident took place before Friday night’s Craftsman Truck Series race.
“We can’t comment on that right now, ” said NASCAR spokesman Kerry Tharp.
There was no word on the security guard’s condition. UPI
