Dale Earnhardt Inc. and director of competition Steve Hmiel have parted ways, the team announced in a news release Thursday afternoon.
The news release said Hmiel’s responsibilities have been redistributed throughout the organization and that his replacement will be named soon.
“I have enjoyed a wonderful association with Dale Earnhardt Inc. over the past nine years,” Hmiel said in a statement. “It is time for me to pursue other endeavors and reestablish new goals for myself.
“Steve has been a part of the success of Dale Earnhardt Inc., and we are grateful for his contributions to the company,” said John Story, vice president of motorsports. “We wish him well with his future plans.” SceneDaily.com
