And there’s been no shortage of headlines with the seemingly weekly cheating scandals and Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s intriguing plans to leave Mother Teresa and join the Evil Empire at Hendrick Motorsports.
There’s only one thing missing from this season – a good fight.
So far, not one driver has thrown a punch, shoved another driver or even thrown a helmet. No one, that I can recall, has even thrown a HANS device or a heat shield.
Oh, a few drivers have angrily rammed their cars into each other under caution and one (Kurt Busch) nearly ran over a crewman trying to shake his fist at Tony Stewart, but we haven’t had anything remotely close to an actual scuffle.
