The race has been rescheduled for May 11 after the Thruxton and Oulton Park rounds. Bad weather also disrupted the recent pre-season test at Snetterton.
Several centimetres of snow fell on the Kent circuit early on Sunday morning as unseasonable weather hit Southern England.
Organisers initially pledged to press on with racing but eventually bowed to the inevitable as track conditions were rendered dangerously slippery.
Race organiser Jonathan Palmer said: “It is bitterly disappointing for all the fans who have come and of course for all the teams and organisations including the Brands Hatch team who have put so much into this weekend.
