British Superbikes Blast Off At Brands Hatch

Tens of thousands of bike fans are expected at Brands Hatch this Bank Holiday Easter weekend as the Bennetts British Superbike Championship blasts into action for the first nail-biting rounds of the 2007 season.

Following hot on the heels of the 2007 British Touring Car curtain-raiser last weekend, this year s BSB Championship promises to be one of the most exciting and closely fought for years, with a host of world class stars, seasoned pros and determined young guns all fighting for the first points of the season on the demanding Grand Prix circuit.

After the sensational championship deciding rounds at Brands Hatch last October, defending champ Ryuichi Kiyo Kiyonari will no doubt be keen to return to the circuit at which he claimed his title, although he faces a strong challenge from his new HM Plant Honda team-mate Jonathan Rea, who has thrown down the gauntlet by topping the tables in pre-season testing.
