After testing at Oulton Park last week, Rizla Suzuki is optimistic it can challenge at the front during this coming weekend’s third round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Silverstone in Northamptonshire.
Cal Crutchlow tested a new linkage and suspension arrangement on his Rizla Suzuki GSX-R1000 at Oulton Park, finding more rear end grip and feel. Chris Walker will use the same set-up at Silverstone, one of the circuits he knows well thanks to visiting it in recent years as part of the World Superbike series.
The 2.13-mile long Silverstone International circuit is smooth, flowing and features a twisty infield section that allows plenty of overtaking and action in front of the spectator grandstands. The home of the British F1 Grand Prix and a round of the World Superbike Championship, it is a venue with impressive facilities for teams and spectators.
