Troy Corser is happy to announce that he has re-signed with Yamaha Motor Italia to race in the World Superbike Championship in 2008 and is looking forward to his second year on the R1.
“I am happy to stay with the team. I feel we have got to know each other well throughout the year and have got stronger and stronger together. It takes a bit of time to settle into a new team, but I’ve got a good working relationship with Dave (my chief mechanic), Maio (team manager) and the rest of the crew, so why change? I think that that there is more to come from the R1 engine and I’m looking forward to that. During the year, Yamaha found a few things that could work, but we haven’t had time to test them all, so the winter tests will give us a good chance to carry on the work. “
“This year has been a little frustrating for me at times because I know the bike is good enough to win - it’s just that I haven’t done it yet! There’s still four chances for me to win this year, so I’m aiming to end the season on a high. ”
