Will Davison will join 2007 series champion Garth Tander at the factory Holden squad after three strong seasons at Ford’s Dick Johnson Racing.
He finished fifth in the championship last year with two race wins and also claimed a Bathurst podium finish in 2007.
The 26-year-old arrives at Holden intent on making the most of an opportunity all aspiring drivers covet.
“Although I had a good season last year and I was in a happy team and a good team this opportunity presented itself and it’s just an honour to get asked,” Davison said.
“It wasn’t a very difficult decision to make, naturally any young bloke would jump at opportunity to drive there.
“They’re the benchmark team in our category, they’ve got an unbelievable history, an unbelievable following and they’ve got a massive amount of professionalism.”
