Holden will field a two-car Astra factory team in this year s WPS 12-Hour Showroom Enduro at the Bathurst International Motor Festival this Easter. Holden V8 Supercar drivers, Jason Richards, Shane Price, Jack Perkins and endurance specialist Nathan Pretty will contest the two wheel drive Hot Hatch Class 5 in an Astra SRi Turbo Coupe.
The second Astra – a pink Astra CDTi Diesel – will be driven by some of Australia and New Zealand s leading female drivers, Leanne Tander, Lauren Gray, Samantha Reid and Christina Orr and compete in the Alternative Energy Diesel/Hybrid Eco Class 9 for vehicles under 3.5 litres. The Astra SRi Turbo Coupe will carry Firepower branding, while the all-girl Astra is backed by Bendon Lingerie. Both cars have been prepared by leading V8 Supercar team, Paul Morris Motorsport at its headquarters at Norwell, on the Gold Coast.
