It will be familiar surroundings for IRWIN Racing’s Alan Gurr at the fourth round of the 2007 V8 Supercar Championship Series at Winton Motor Raceway in regional Victoria on May 18-20.
Winton is the test track for the IRWIN Racing Team and Gurr has driven his racecar extensively around the track over two separate test sessions this year; including one just last week.
It’s an important factor as Gurr has never actually raced a V8 Supercar at the friendly confines of the Winton Motor Raceway.
After a challenging start to the year, Gurr is hopeful that the fourth round of the series will see his points account open.
“The opening three rounds were certainly character building, but we are now confident of getting things happening at Winton, ” said Gurr.
