Fujitsu Racing s Jason Bright is in a positive frame of mind heading into round #3 of the 2007 V8 Supercar Championship Series at Pukekohe Raceway south of Auckland on 20-22 April.

The Fujitsu Racing team has had to switch cars after Bright was involved in a heavy accident during practice at the previous round in Western Australia.

Bright was forced to watch the three races from the sidelines and the team has had to lease a chassis from Brad Jones Racing.

After finishing the opening round in 11th place overall, Bright is keen to regain ground in NZ.

“Missing the three races in Perth was one of the most frustrating weekends of my life, “ said Bright.

“The performance in Adelaide was not a fluke. I m sure we can get a decent result in NZ to underline that we are headed in the right direction.

“We feel that the car should be fine, but we have had to incorporate a lot of components into the Brad Jones Racing Falcon. We are confident that once we get a handle on the car in the first part of practice it should be good for qualifying and the races themselves.

“Having won at the track in 2004, Pukekohe is clearly a circuit I enjoy, so I can t see any reason why I shouldn t be quick there.

“With this being the last V8 race before we head to the streets of Hamilton in 2008, I m keen on getting a good result in the last dance at Pukekohe. “

The engineering team of Fujitsu Racing has been working overtime to ensure the Falcon will be competitive in New Zealand.
