“We have done plenty of measurements to understand how the car should behave, so we have as much information as possible going into the race weekend, ” said Geoff Slater Chief Engineer Fujitsu Racing.
“It s a shame that we really didn t get any track time in Perth. We had made changes since the opening round in Adelaide and we didn t get a chance to gauge our performance against the opposition.
“Pukekohe looks simple, but it s quite technical. With Jason on-board and the success he s had there in the past we are more confident that we will have good pace. “
Teams hit the track for an extended two-hour practice session on Friday afternoon. Saturday includes the elimination-styled qualifying followed by the opening 43-lap race. Sunday s features two more 43-lap races.
