McNally Breaks Into The Top Ten At Wakefield

Mark McNally forged his way into a top-ten result in the final race at Wakefield Park today after bouncing back from being turned around in Race two. After qualifying 15th yesterday, and finishing tenth in the opening race, Mark started the reverse top-10 Race 2 from grid 1. As the race got underway Mark settled into third position as he waited for his set-up to come-on .

Unfortunately he was hit and turned around in an ambitious passing move by Chris Alajajian at the end of the back straight. “I didn t get the best of starts and lost a few places off the line, ” Mark said. “My set-up was just starting to come good and I was closing in on the guys in front. ” “Then I was hit and turned around; It was pretty disappointing and it cost me a lot of places but I just had to get on with the job. ” Mark dropped down to just inside the top 20 but pressed on to finish 15th, which is the last points-scoring place.
