An enhanced television deal with V8 Supercars broadcaster Channel Seven will see more WPS Bathurst 12 Hour action than ever before splashed across Australian television screens next year.

As the feature act of the 2008 WPS Bathurst Motor Festival to be held over February 8-10, the WPS Bathurst 12 Hour will enjoy an extended highlights package with three-hours of coverage set to be screened in March on Channel Seven.

The three-hour time slot sees the coverage duration increased by an hour on the telecast obtained for the 2007 Race – reflecting the WPS Bathurst 12 Hour’s growing popularity since its revived running in Easter of this year.

“I am delighted that we have been able to come to an arrangement with Seven which will see even more of the WPS Bathurst 12 Hour action shown across the country on free to air television,” said Event Director James O’Brien.

“The extended post-produced program will offer viewers a better chronological story of the Race and deliver additional exposure to competitors and sponsors”
