Jack Daniel’s Racing team principal Larry Perkins expressed his pleasure with his two rookie drivers, Shane Price and Jack Perkins, at the end of a demanding weekend of racing at Western Australia’s Barbagallo Raceway.

For their first times racing at the top level of V8 Supercars at the tight and technical Barbagallo circuit on the outskirts of Perth, both Price and Perkins acquitted themselves admirably over the course of the three 50-lap races making up the weekend.

After a solid practice and qualifying performance both Jack Daniel’s Racing drivers were confident of forward progression over the course of the weekend. During yesterday’s first race Price shot to the front, leading his #7 Jack Daniel’s Racing Commodore into 13th, while Perkins took a cautious approach into 21st.
