What: 2005 V8 Supercar champion and two-time Bathurst winner Russell Ingall, driver of the #9 Caltex Racing Ford Falcon, will return to the scene of his very first race aboard a go-kart at the Go-Kart Club of SA track at Oakbank, SA.
Why: The historic Oakbank circuit is where the Ingall’s legacy in Australian motorsport began.
The track, which was closed in several years ago, was where Ingall honed his skills behind the wheel of a go-kart during the 1970s before moving onto circuit racing both in Australia and in Europe. To signify Ingall’s era of karting he will also have a vintage kart at the track.
