This Sunday, May 6, racing fans get their once-a-year opportunity to drive on the historic Milwaukee Mile race track during the 11am – 3pm Drive The Mile event.
Over 300 cars are expected to participate in the Drive The Mile Classic Car Show, with trophies awarded in five car show categories. Assisting as guest judges are Milwaukee Mile shareholder and former Green Bay Packers player Gilbert Brown, his starting defensive line-mate Santana Dotson, Packers Hall of Fame inductee LeRoy Butler and starting fullback for the 1996 Super Bowl championship team, William Henderson.
Individuals can drive their personal vehicle on The Milwaukee Mile, with proceeds benefiting Hunger Task Force. Work trucks, classic cars, motorcycles, limousines, passenger cars and even a hearse been spotted taking laps in previous “Drive The Mile” events at America’s Legendary Oval. An estimated 400 cars took laps around The Mile during last year’s event.
