Some might criticize IndyCar series sweetheart Danica Patrick for questionable performance on the track, but for some “race fans” she’s the only reason the American open-wheel series is worth watching.
Formula 2, on the other hand, with its new Audi-powered Williams cars, should serve up some pretty exciting racing if it’s anything like the GP2 series it replaces, and now has a potential Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition model of its own to pull in fringe fans.
The European racing series, a feeder system to F1, now has Swiss racer Natacha Gachnang to bolster its ranks and improve its TV ratings. The 21 year old driver has done well in her burgeoning career so far, finishing 3rd in the Spanish Formula 3 championship and 2nd in the Copa de España.
