Wilton’s Laura Hayes won her first stock car race in Saturday’s featured NASCAR late-model event at All American Speedway, following Golden State Racing teammate Kristin Bumbera into Victory Lane at the Roseville track.
The teenage Hayes battled bumper to bumper with her other teammate, current Roseville points leader John Moore, for her breakthrough victory.
“It was really a great feeling to get my first win in a late model under my belt,” Hayes said. “With all of the hard work that we’ve been putting into the program this year, I was confident that a win was coming soon.”
