Ford World Rally Team driver Mikko Hirvonen did all he could over the three days of gravel racing at last week-end’s Rally Portugal, but once again Citroen’s Sebastien Loeb proved unreachable..
“It’s frustrating to see Loeb on top again but I’m not giving up on the championship title just yet,” Hirvonen declared. “We are only a third of the way through the season.”

“I go to every event hoping to win and without him I would do that!”
Hirvonen was able to apply additional pressure on his rival in Portugal; he is therefore confident that the right opportunities will arise and that the results of the last three rallies are promising.
