Citroen’s Sebastien Loeb took an early lead of WRC Rally Argentina after pacing the event’s opening Super Special Stage at Cordoba Stadium.
“It was very slippery in there and very easy to make a mistake,” Loeb said. “I’m happy to have got around with no problem.”

Hirvonen, who had to ease off after slipping near the end of his final lap, claimed that the circuit did not offer much stability.
He said: “The surface was very slippery and I concentrated on making sure I didn’t hit any of the concrete barriers.” Yahoo! Eurosport
The Citroen driver, seeking his sixth world title in a row, has made an imperious start to the new campaign, winning the first four events to sit 10 points clear at the top of the drivers’ standings.

“It’s the best start we’ve ever had to any season,” said Loeb. “In South America, we don’t really have any other choice than to go for victory.”
He added: “Rally Argentina holds so many special memories for us, and that’s not just because we have won the past four events.”
“I really enjoy the stages and the spectators make the atmosphere unique.”
