The OMV Kronos Citroen World Rally Team has finished the “Rally Argentina” in eighth place. For Manfred Stohl and Ilka Minor this was the best they can currently accomplish. Therefore the 34-year-old OMV driver is not discontent and hopes to be more competitive once again at the next WRC-runs. Sebastien Loeb (Fra/Citroen C4 WRC) took the victory in Argentina and celebrated his 32nd WRC-triumph. In his wake were Ford works drivers Marcus Grönholm and Mikko Hirvonen (both Fin).
The limit has been reached
Manfred Stohl has reached eighth overall place at the WRC-run in Argentina following a trouble-free rally. But the OMV driver has to acknowledge the fact that a much better result with the Citroen Xsara WRC is currently impossible. Stohl: “We definitely performed a good rally. But unfortunately we have reached the limit as far as the material is concerned. It doesn’t make sense to cry over spilt milk. We must look ahead. And we are still highly motivated. “
